5-Amino-1MQ
Small-molecule NNMT inhibitor (not a peptide) · Longevity
What it is
A small molecule that blocks NNMT, an enzyme found in fat tissue. Blocking it is thought to raise NAD+ in fat cells.
What research covers
In a 2018 study, obese mice on a high-fat diet lost fat mass. There are no published human trials.
Reported side effects
- No human safety data
Not suitable for, or talk to a doctor first
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Cancer
Good to know
- 5-Amino-1MQ is not a peptide, though it is often sold alongside them.
