MOTS-c + NAD+

Two "cell energy" ideas together
In this stack

Why people pair them

Both relate to mitochondria, the parts of cells that make energy. MOTS-c is a signal made by mitochondria themselves; NAD+ is a molecule they need to work. Together they are marketed as a "mitochondrial" or longevity pairing.

What the research shows

MOTS-c research is mostly in mice. NAD+ building blocks have small human trials showing they raise NAD+ levels, without clear health benefits yet. The combination has not been studied.

Extra things to consider

  • Possible low blood sugar with MOTS-c, especially with diabetes medicines
  • Flushing or stomach upset with NAD+
  • Longevity claims go well beyond current evidence

Ask your doctor

  • What would we measure to know if anything is changing?
  • Are sleep, exercise and diet already sorted, as they have stronger evidence?

General information, not advice, and not a recommendation to combine anything. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional before starting, changing or combining anything.
